Yes, I have been reading a lot about the online filing. After days of deliberations, I decided to go ahead with it. It seems people have better and faster responses by filing it online.

I am joining this group, as husband will be eligible to apply in just two days. For evidence, do you send everything like bank statements, etc for your entire marriage or just from the time you applied for ROC until now?

Just a silly question, do u use certified mail via usps to send the application? I did it band it stated supposed to be delivered yesterday. While I tracked the number today and it still hasn't deliver yet, it makes me worrying now.

There is a list of documents you are required to send with your application when you are filling it out...it will list it all there.

Some of the things you don't have to send it in, but you just bring it to your interview.

 

If you are filing based on the 3-year rule...go back the last 3 years in documentation.

 

If you are filing based on the 5-year rule...go back the last 5 years in documentation.

Have you tried contacting the post office were you mailed it from?  That's a delay on their end.

Make sure you have signed up for email and/or text notifications regarding your application.  This is a separate step to filing online.

@Going through Hi, I have several questions. How soon did you see the NOA was posted online after you submitted N400 online? I am presuming there will be an email or phone alert if immigration posted something online right? Also, do you remember when you finally got the NOA paper in the mail after submitting the application?

I filed on a Friday night, late.  The NOA was posted online on Monday (but read the Friday date, I suppose because I filed before a weekend).  You can see my timeline so far below in my signature.

Sometimes you'll just get an email stating action has been taken on your case and to log in to view it.  Other times, it will be more specific (like when I got the one telling me my biometrics appointment has been schedued).

 

Did you check the little [Y] under your case number to receive emails and texts on the ELIS website?

Yes I did! I got a text for password every time I log in to the website.

Don't fret....I did too as soon as I filed online.  You will get the online NOA if not tomorrow then the next day.  One tip I learned from someone on another forum:

 

Watch the top right corner of your case status page---it will show a "last updated on" date.  This means that some sort of action has been taken on your case.  If your case status remains the same, but you notice the date changes, from my experience this normally means something has been physically mailed out...and then you can watch for it in the mail a few days later.

Hi. I just filed 2 weeks ago. Is there any other way to know the status of my N-400? I haven't received any NOA. Im getting worried.

If you read back in this thread, it's been posted twice how to check case status, so try that method.  You can also add yourself to the tracker to follow along with the others and see how your case falls inline with them when trying to compare your own timeline.
