I am putting together the packet for my husband who is here in the states on his B2 visa. So we are doing Adjustment of Status along with the I-130. Will he need to have a police clearance record from his home country during this process? It would be next to impossible to get without him traveling back to said country. Thanks!

It's required only if he has a criminal record.

You don't need it unless he is acriminal , or ever been arrested besides the reason for fingerprints is to check on criminal records so u don't need it unless he has ever been arrested

Ok. Thanks. He just recently received his B2 visa the beginning of the year so I'm sure they checked him out at that point. I would think anyway. And he hasn't been in any trouble since entering the US. I just saw someone post on the VJ fb site about anyone filing I 130 needs clearance record and I panicked a bit knowing he won't be able to fly back there to get one.

We went a totally different route actually. I just let the k1 go in the middle of the process and  decided to move there. We got married 3 years ago and me and my kids moved to Ja. We had a son last year and he needed a surgery, so I brought him to the states. It is better for him to be here so now we have to go this route.

Hi i have no answer for this, sorry i need know about too because i will apply, or my husband will apply for me, im brazilian, so i have a question for you...in the form I-130 is include I-864?  Or is option to send I-864? Because i read some cases of ppl that start with I-130 before I-485 so i want to know if i cant apply I-130 without I-864 too.
