I'm sure there are but I never took my birth certificate to the dr's office.

I guess my question really was why does it matter on the birth certificate? What is the purpose of having it on a birth certificate?

The bigger question would be how much of snowflake , would you have to be that puting your birth sex on your birth certificate could upset yiu in any way . Its pretty much a captian obvious kind of thing.

Not as big as you would have to be to care enough to ask the question above.

I don't think it's a thing that upsets them. It's a choice they made. And in a society where you're seen as odd if you go against the norm I don't think you're a snowflake if you decide to go against it and do your own thing.

And this technically isn't new. He just happen to be first in Canada. In Nepal they have the right to not put their gender in their passports.

In Sweden we have a gender neutral alternativ till he/she.

It's not a big deal.

Saying male is all of a sudden a female is not doing your own thing. It's  stupidly.  It's like calling a cat a dog, and then calling anyone with enough common sense to see the emperor is naked a racist.

You realize you're the one making that statement, right?
