I didn't work 2014, 2015 and half of 2016. So, I started working in July of last year. I tax my tax accountant that I'm married but spouse is not in the US, so he told me to file as single. Will it be an issue for the Affidavit of Support? I'm a bit confused.... Also, I have a Co-Sponsor already. Please help

This Year 2107  How much you earned

I'm still working right now full time and we are in 2017 at the moment. So, 2017 tax return will be filed in 2018 by January or early February. So, I already have a co sponsor at the moment. It's just my filing status that I'm concern about. What do you think overall?

I did this, and so did hundreds of other members here, with no problems whatsoever.  Unless you are an IRS employee who would be fired for filing with the wrong status, I've never heard of an issue.  (I've heard of lots of things.) ;)
