I need to adjust status for my green card. I overstayed my visa, my husband recently got sick and is in need for a liver surgery. So he cannot work, we have the money for immigration but no co-sponsor. We asked a few people and they don't want to responsibility.  The ones who want to agree don't make enough. What can I do?? I have two kids here and one needs a liver transplant. So I need the green card. Am I allowed to have a few co sponsors? Or only one other co sponsor ?

Multiple joint sponsors cannot join their incomes unless they are family members in the same household (via the I-864A). You really just need 1 qualifying joint sponsor.

Your husband and 1 kid both need liver surgeries? That seems pretty rare! I hope it works out for you medically.

As others have said, only one cosponsor. Good luck!!!

Yes I know right. And it's the same liver disease which they claim is not genetic. My husband needs a resection whilst my son need a transplant which will have to be done in California. My lawyer doesn't like the idea of me travelling back and forth without legal status
