We called USCIS again, and this time we got transferred to ELIS technical support where we were told the only solution would be to submit the application without any evidence, and then go back into the application after it has been submitted with the receipt number you’ll receive and attach your evidence. The evidence has to be a simple filename, with no numbers, and no special characters. He said the issue has been happening for months, and users will not have success unless they call USCIS ELIS to get the work-around. He also said some people have the opposite problem where the evidence cannot be deleted. They took my A-number over the phone, put me on hold, and did something so that this solution would work. I haven’t submitted yet as I’m not home, but the guy sounded very knowledgeable and said this would 100% work with no issue.

I may wait as others here are saying that the solution is coming soon.

I feel the same way! I have everything ready to submit it, and it's this one thing that's stopping me... I know there is a work-around solution for the application, but all the same I still hate the idea of hitting that 'Submit' button without any evidence. However, if the issue is not resolved in the next 1-2 days, I will submit the application without evidence as the USCIS officer instructed me to do, and attach it after.

I just logged back into my account and now I see all the evidence I have uploaded is now showing!!

Me too and repeated several times! It seems someone is actually working on it. I was not able to submit new evidence but I was able to delete the repeated evidence. Crossing fingers

It can be, depending on the speed of the field office.

I applied online July 2017 and had my oath in October 2017.

There are others who applied the same month in NY via paper application and are still waiting to be scheduled for an interview.

I agree with @Going through. I have a similar experience filing it online. I think it was way faster than paper. One of my colleague filed in the last week of May of 2017 and she is yet to be scheduled for an interview. Her case is simpler than mine but still, no progress on her end whats so ever. I have suggested her to book an info pass appointment but she can’t get one as they fill very quickly.

Similarly, I met this guy during my oath (feb 14 2018) and we started chit chatting. Came to find out that he had applied in December of 2016(paper). When I told him that I had applied in July 2017, he could not believe it. Keep in mind, my case wasn’t straight forward.

For those of you trying to file online, just be patient and keep trying. I guess they haven’t fixed the system yet. A bunch of us were having the same issue in July of last year.

That's crazy for your colleague---what is his/her field office?

I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of mine, too, given my background wasn't exactly stellar in the eyes of USCIS...

Has your colleague spoken to L2s about the scheduling delay?

Yep it is crazy. It’s the same field office as mine (Houston). Actually, kudos to this website because you get to learn so much about the process, the do’s, the Dont’s, etc. When I mentioned to her about calling and getting an infopass appointment, she was very surprised as she had no idea one can do that. I don’t think she has gotten around to call them yet.

I would have her call an L2 (not just deal with the customer service person who answers the phone) and inquire about her scheduling status on the off-chance a letter was sent out and never arrived to her.
