Filing N400 online, anyone?

I have just this minute submitted my application online.    Will I get an email once accepted or will it just appear in my USCIS account?

Depends.  Are you filing the N400 under the 5-year rule, or the 3 year rule?

You should get it posted on your online account.  Since you submitted the application over the weekend, it may not appear until Monday.

It's ok to do quarterly for utility bills if you can...basically by spreading it out, quarterly bills helps to show continuous residency in terms of bills which is what you want the IO to see.  If your N400 is based off of marriage, they are also looking at both names/address on the bills.

 

Same with the bank statements---they are not looking at the income on the bank statements, they are looking for continuous activity of money going in and out of the joint account.

I would really rather pick 3 months separated by 2/3 months that show no unemployment deposits...

 

I wanted to do  Quarterly ( January/april/aug/dec/) for 2015 . And for 2016,2017: january april september december...

Do you think is a bad idea?

 

 

Just wanted to avoid any negative questions and I figure by showing months of regular income it would be better for the case...

Since your application is based off of your marriage over the past 3 years, you shouldn't leave out statements covering 2 of those years....chances are you would receive an RFE for those documents if you left them out, which could delay your case by a couple of months at least.  So my suggestion is to send at least a few from each of the three years.

 

The unemployment deposits won't affect your application since it was the USC spouse getting those benefits, not you.  Again, they are not looking at the type of income from the statements, they are looking at the continuous use of the bank account to prove co-mingling of finances.

I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to send them everything. It sounds like you want to try to hide something. That’s never a good idea.

I didn't meant not send for 2 years, I just wanted to pick the 4 months myself instead of going by order so it would show months of most income that's all.
