USCIS released the latest data set for form N-400 applications.   Here are the recent reports (the reports breaks up the numbers by field office in case you are interested.)  The USCIS continues to fall behind in applications as it looks like a noticeable increase in applications in early 2017 (Trump immigration polices?)

  • 4th QTR (Jul 1 - Sep 30):   Total Applications Received: 245,317 | Approved: 229,081 | Denied:26,178  | Pending: 522,565

Only Baltimore and couple other small-sized offices adjudicated more cases than they received.

Is there anyone cross-referencing these numbers against the I-485 data? As far as I know I485 and N400 constitute the major workload for the field offices. If they are lagging in one, they should do better in the other unless the USCIS now directs them to conduct longer interviews or spend more time on each case; hence slow down in both.

DACA processing increased after the election.
