I updated my entry, my oath ceremony will be this Friday (March 16.) in Tampa. I am surprised because there's only
a March 6. and April 6. is showed on the official site. It's a very pleasant surprise. :)

hello. i'm about to file N-400 soon. i have a question about the tax. we only have 2014, 2015 and 2017 tax because i was still a student in 2016 with no job and income, and my spouse had no job during the whole year. is it a big problem for interview?  thanks.

Congrats... Can you please let me know his experience in detail. Like what all documents did the IO asked for and questions which were asked. How long his interview went.

My husband is scheduled for an interview in next 10 days so want to make sure.

TIA

JAtlanta...

Interview scheduled on March 9th, 2018 at 12.15 pm

My husband reached there by 11.15 am. There was a 5 minute security check at the entrance. Then he was instructed to go to the 1st counter to check in at the ground floor. He showed them the interview letter and they sent to me to the 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor, there was a big waiting area, a reception counter & 3 doors. He was  asked to wait till 11.45 am as he was early. He was given a token number and a door number number. The officer called his out token number and door number and invited him in. He was asked to raise his right hand & was sworn in. His photo was taken and fingerprints of both hands for verification.

The officer asked my husband to sit down, opened his file & went through it question by question. Two things were different from the time he applied...his residential address and the fact that he had a traffic violation. My husband had accidentally given a "no" because he thought traffic violations weren't included. Any penalty under $500 without an arrest does not need any documentary proof so he thought he didnt need to include it in that question. My husband updated the officer on the change of address and the fact that he had a traffic violation under $500 which was marked respectively on the application.

Then the officer pulled a random questionnaire comprising of 20 questions and started asking questions. My husband got his 1st 6 questions correct so the officer was kind enough to stop. He was then asked to read a random statement and write a sentence in English. Then the officer attached the questionnaire & both the papers of the read out & written statement to the original application. My husband was told that he passed and his application will be updated for approval. Following this, he was given a letter stating that his application was proposed for approval. Then he was asked to wait in the waiting area. 15 minutes later, a supervisor reviewed the case and printed out a letter detailing the oath ceremony date and time.

And that was it!! So relieved!!!!  :-)

Good luck. Hope your interview goes well too!

Hey..don't be discouraged. I know the wait is exhausting and frustrating. When did you apply? And which field office? It would help if you updated your timeline..use this link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Find your field office and check the processing times. Then you'll get an idea about when your interview should be. If your case is out of normal processing times *(I think it varies for different field offices), then maybe you can raise an enquiry. USCIS has a mobile application too ..where you can save your application number and they alert you as soon your case status changes. Don't worry..you'll get there soon. God bless!!

And if the table shows you're are a little behind, don't fret. They only update that page every 3 or 4 weeks. For example...in our case...Atlanta field office, the page was updated Feb 15, 2018. It shows that as of December 31, 2017 all cases with the PD of Feb 7, 2017 for the N400 have been called. The normal processing times for Atlanta is somewhere between 6 to 8 months as they tell us...though many have only got their interviews just beyond 8-9 months. We applied June 1, 2017. And he was done with his biometrics in the 1st week of August 2017...so in line for interview since August 2017...my husband was scheduled an interview for March 9, 2018 on January 29, 2018. He passed the interview (thanks to God) and now he is scheduled for his oath ceremony on March 23, 2018...hang in there!! You'll get there soon :-) :-)

My case is a bit complex because i initially filed it in Houston ( which I hear is the absolute worth office in the nation ) on June 13, 2017. On February 1, 2018 the wife and I moved to Phoenix. I also hear horror stories of relocating to different states while in this process. I updated the address online and received a confirmation, I also scheduled an infopass for the 20th of this month to ensure my file has been transferred and what not. As of Dec 31, Phoenix is processing Jan 26 cases, so it seems they’re back logged as well. I find it astonishing with all the hate nowadays this site is truly a breath of fresh air. Everyone is extremely positive and encouraging. I’ve read multiple threads and everyone tries to help one another and for that reason I’m genuinely glad to be a part of it, and truly get happy when anyone gets the good news. Thank you and everyone on this site 👍🏼

I filed out of Houston and now live in Phoenix, so it is still within the timeframe. I appreciate it though, I know it will come, just sucks to not being able to do anything but wait.
