"Additional Information" page (employment)

The i-130 instructions say 

"If you need extra space to complete any item within this petition, use the space provided in Part 9. Additional Information or attach a separate sheet of paper; type or print your name and A-Number (if any) at the top of each sheet; indicate the Page Number, Part Number, and Item Number to which your answer refers; and sign and date each sheet."

But what I am unsure of is: what do you write for the item number for additional employment information? You are supposed to write the number you're referring to, but employer 1 and 2 have different item numbers. Please help! Thanks!

It's a bit unclear what you are adding

If you are adding another employer write the span of the items numbers that are given for employer. If it's 1 and 2, write 1-2

If you are adding the same information for both employers (for example you are  info that doesn't fit) write 1 & 2 or if it doesn't allow the "&" write again 1-2.

If you are adding specific information to one employer, I don't see the problem, so I assume that is not the case, as you would simply refer to that item number.
