K-1 Visa Approved-Need Passport Back

Hello,

 

My fiance has his interview for the K-1 Visa on May 11th in Islamabad, Pakistan. At the end he was told his application was approved and that he would be getting a phone call in 7-10 business days to pick up his passport from the designated pick up location he had chosen.

 

However, it has been over 10 business days already and we have not heard back. He was not given any sort of paper either. Before when we tracked the passport online, it would say "your passport is currently with the US Embassy/Consulate," now if we track it, it says "there is no status update for the passport number submitted." We are very worried, we have already planned our wedding date for next month and now we don't know how/when we will get the passport. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any recommendations? (we know there is an online inquiry forum on the US/Pakistan Embassy website, but we don't want to start sending inquiries, we have heard that people of the embassy can get irritated and further delay the case)

What status does the Ceac tracker show for his case? 

 

There's really not much you can do but wait at this point. Unfortunately, you've missed the recommendation to never book tickets or plan weddings before visa is in hand.
