Imagine you lost the only set of car keys you have. You live in a 10-acre lot, and you know the keys are somewhere in that area. Wouldn't it be much easier to find them if someone told you the keys are somewhere in the living room? Surely, you would need to search the living room, but it's a far better proposition than having to sift through 10 acres.

 

That's why what Trump said was significant.

Apparently none. I tried several examples, and finally I think the other poster got the idea. Oftentimes, a step by step explanation helps. I think that's what was needed in this case.
