I recommend that if she is not getting satisfaction that she contact her US Representative and Senator where she can fill out a privacy act release, after which time an employee of the representative/senator can inquire about your case.

This is perfectly normal for Morocco. It is a little longer than many APs going through Casa, but nothing to worry about yet. The AP consist of completeing security checks with the database of names through the department of State in Washington DC. Common names will get more false name matches. The more similar name hits, the more time to sort through everything. I know it is difficutl to wait, but inshallah you will be hearing something from the consulate soon.

The situation in Casa has a lot of people worried about what will happen now that the consulate has closed temporarily. No need to worry about it having an impact onyour visa. You passed the interview. Once AP is done you willget the visa, unless they discover you are a criminal that is on their list (and that is not going to happen right?).

Your fiance is in the US now yes? She can call the department of State to check on the progress of your security checks. They will not give a lot of information, but will give a general answer- yes they are still pending or no they have been completed.

The only way that the situation might impact you is if your ap is finished, with Casa suspending public services right now, you wil not be getting the call until they resume work on these visas. Being closed is likely to create a backlog.

And again, do not worry that they told you it will be a couple of days, there is no way to predict how long the checks will take. You were given a general answer. Stay positive that this will be resolved eventually and you will soon have the visa in hand.

There is no way to know how long A/P will take. The whole process is a mess. There are 325,000 people going through the name checks. Some get completed in a week or two and others can go years. 30% take a year and 10% take 3 years. I have been stuck in it at NVC for 5 months now so I know how tough it is. I hope your wait is not much longer. My understanding is when the new fee's go into effect next month they are going to try to use some of the money to speed up the process. The FBI is doing the checks and they just don't feel it is important.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.
Waiting - Waiting - Waiting
3/6 Called NVC file sent to Washington for "Administrative Review" Told to call back every few weeks. 7/6 Called NVC, A/R is finished, case on way to Moscow. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 On Friday the 13th we see updated Moscow website with our interview on 9/11 (Hope we are not supersticious) 9/11 Visa Approved. Yahoo.
10/12 Tickets for her to America. I am flying to JFK to meet her there. 12/15/07 We are married. One year and a day after filling original K-1
12/27 Filed for AOS, EAD & AP 1/3 Received all three NOA-1's 1/22 Biometrics 2/27 EAD & AP received 4/12 Interview
5/19/08 RFE for physical that she should not have needed. 5/28 New physical ($ 250.00 wasted) 6/23 Green Card received
4/22/10 Filed for Removal of Contitions. 6/25 10 Year Green Card received Nov, 2014 Citizenship ceremony. Our journey is complete.

You have had a long wait - even for Morocco. I am not sure if you saw another VJer , Najia, post yesterday, but she just received the call after abut 8 months of waiting. This AP will eventually be over and they will give you a call. This is a difficult process so try to find as much patience as you can.

Getting married will void the visa you are currently waiting for and you will have to start over. Then you will have to wait again for the AP to be processed. It might even slow down a marriage visa since you have the fiance visa in the system. Being married does not mean you will get faster approval.

hi there friends....i hope that all of u getting ur wishes and dreams. and enjoy timeinlove andhappiness.

and i would start by thanking u for being intrested in answering me back with ur information..

so i just have another issue that i read some things about it .as for me i have been waiting for a call after passing the interview for 8 months.and no call nothing.so when we email us consulate or when my fiance calls NVC they tell her about stillpending and not yet processingly finished.so my questions is do they find out a hit in my petition .in the time the us consular officer told me about 2 days after the interview to call on me .and now it's 8months and nothing.so is this long time of waiting a hit against my application?and in case i get a call is it definately a call for getting a visa or if it may be a call saying that my visa is denied under section 214 b.

Section 214(B) is part of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). It states:

Every alien shall be presumed to be an immigrant until he establishes to the satisfaction of the consular officer, at the time of application for admission, that he is entitled to a nonimmigrant status...

so i hope that u can explain to mein experience and in knowledge please.thank u very much ...
