is my wifes Visa pretty much approved?

We just finished the interview process yesterday at Manila and we finished all the final steps. The only thing is that the lady told my wife that she needs to send her NBI clearance and we got it next day which is today. We just sent the NBI clearance just a few min ago to the US Embassy. The 2GO branch is also in Ermita like the US Embassy. My question is that is it pretty much unofficially approved? I just cant relax 100% until my wife actually has the Visa on her passport.

If they kept her passport and only asked for an update NBI then typically she is approved BUT each case is different and you won't know for sure till she has the visa in hand. DO NOT make any travel arrangements till you have the visa and passport in your hands. Seen too many who lost a lot of bucks not having their visa when making plans and had to change them with very stiff penalties. Good luck and safe travels.

You didn't ask after the interview? You should have  asked if you were  unsure before you left.

It does sound fine, but you'll have to wait for the official approval obviously.

My wife asked after the interview. The lady said just send the NBI and theyll send the passport with the visa. I just wanted to make sure. Hope everything goes welll now.

99% of the time when there is a missing document, the embassy is happy once they have it.  It may take a week or so for them to get the document and your file reviewed... but I would say.. relax ... chill a few cold ones.. the party is coming. ;)

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

Yes.   Like said, a late document can add a week or so but I would not stress over this at all!   It is almost happy dance time!!

Today is a good day to sit back and enjoy the rain.. except it didn't rain very long here today.. still it was nice.

Its been 3 business days since they received it im assuming.i keep checking twice a day on US govts Visa status check link. It still says "Administrstive Processing". Hpefully i get it approved soon making me stressed like theres an issue or something. If there was an issue why wouldnt they tell me before?

Alright. The interviiewers seemed ok with our other documents. We just had an NBI that my wife had which she forgot to put her middle name in thats all. Then we submitted a correct one the next day.

All is fine.. until it isn't.

Look at it this way; you had 2GO deliver the document, it arrives in the mail room, gets sorted to be sent to the IV unit, there another person opens the envelope and puts the document in a stack of other documents to be scanned and matched up with the physical file, once the case file has been updated the CO that interviewed you reviews the case file AFTER spending the morning doing interviews ... after he is done, a secondary person verifies everything... then finally the visa is approved and status changes to ISSUED.

Now I will ask you.  This is the government, just how long do you think all these tasks would take??

It is currently 88F and sunshine here in Manila, the feels like temperature is 102F, no rain is predicted until  late afternoon... grab your umbrella, go out, visit family and friends.. soon you will be thousands of miles away.. missing them all.
