Look at all those who are still waiting for approval,

a lot of people on here have been denied and have had to resubmit their Petition,

Unless you have a reason to worry about being denied , dont bring yourslef down by focusing energy on the possibility of having your Petition denied after interview.

I too have been looking for that answer. I have not found anything here on VJ or another forum. Does any one else actually have knowledge of that happening AFTER the interview. Obviously there are various reasons why a person can be denied, but does anyone actually know of someone it has happened to after the interview? I have searched with no luck.

Do a search in this forum with the term "Stokes interview".

So, if you are denied, you can simply reapply, or appeal, right? As long as you have nothing to hide, you're okay, correct?

I believe if you entered on VWP then you have waived your right to appeal.

If you are denied because you didn't show up for the interview (because you didn't get notified), there is usually a remedy.

If you are denied because USCIS has determined that your marriage is fraudulent, I believe that is a different story. That usually results in removal proceedings and a permanent bar to the US.

Yes, my wife's 751 got denied today (Well, OK, April 9, but we just received the letter today). According to the letter, she failed to show up for her fingerprint appointment in Tampa, Florida on November 7, 2006. Never mind that she did show up and had her fingerprints done on October 13, 2006, in Dallas, Texas, where we live and where the appointment was scheduled. What kind of incompetent IDIOTS work there? To make matters worse, we went there in person on February 27, 2007 (had to make one of their stupid "infopass" appointments) for the specific reason of asking them why they hadn't finished processing it yet. Without even looking up anything, they said "These things take time, you're not the only people applying, you know. There's nothing wrong, you just have to have some patience" and then they put a stamp on her passport extending her temporary status for a year.......and to top it off, the letter says that since she "abandoned" her petition by failing to show up, we can't appeal that decision, but we can within "thirty (33) days" (no, that's not my typo, it's theirs) file a NEW petition and PAY all the fees, AGAIN!

We've been wondering the same....

Sorry about your situation... I would get an infopass immediately and go there to talk to them.

Our way to reach the happy family is only on the first half way, ridejewel.

At fist. we were very nervous for the interview of visa in VN, then it will be the AOS in USA. I wish if I would be a Mexican, it may be more simple.

Being Mexican does not make the process any easier..... maybe you were trying to say you would rather be illegal..... and you just assume all mexicans are here illegaly... wow...

Believe me, being Mexican did NOT make it any easier for my husband. We have had to jump through all the hoops just like everyone else. We had to make sure our "i" were dotted and our "t's" were crossed. Everyone goes through the SAME process and have to meet the same conditions. We are in namecheck just like many out there from other countries. <_<

OK Let's see...

I wish if I would be a Mexican, it may be more simple.

I am thinking now and he/she might've worded what they wanted to say incorrectly. Because the above statement makes really no sense.... "I wish If I would be a mexican"... it doesnt make sense...

And perhaps what they meant is that if they were mexican they'd be closer to america ??? I don't know...

Being a Mexican, or Canadian, you can meet each other easily than us, the couple of the opposite sides of the earth. Besides, it will not cost you much in the trip like to go to Vietnam, Thailand, Philippine... and also it will not take long time to fly over 24 hours to see your lover. In addition, we faced a stressfull and difficult visa process at our country as well.

You are right. Distance is an advantage. He is here now but cannot leave until AP is approved (so it doesn't matter). As for the visa, it is the SAME process for everyone. We too had a very stressful (K1) visa process. He did NOT come here illegally or has ever been here illegally. Yes, it was easier to go see him (I guess) because I did not have to fly 24 hours. Time and money was still spent and exhausted.
