We were married in 2015, if that's your question... not sure. ("filing status")... did I answer your question? 

The purpose of the I-130 is to vet the couple's relationship and ascertain if it is, in fact, a bona fide marriage.  During this stage, all relationship evidence must be provided and evidence supporting a bona fide marriage.

 

The purpose of the NVC stage is to establish your identity, complete secondary and final background checks, and ensure that the intending immigrant is not likely to become a public charge. In other words, that there is minimal risk the foreign spouse will move over here, and claim benefits which the rest of our taxes pay for.  Taxes are the most trusted source of establishing your financial capacity to support and sustain a life in the U.S. with the intending immigrant which is why the onus falls on you as the US sponsor (or your joint sponsor, if applicable). IRS tax transcripts are encourage since this is the official income you have reported to the IRS.  Assets can depreciate and may not always be able to sustain potential living expenses (e.g., if using a home, savings account...how likely would you be to liquidate your assets to pay for food and other expenses?).

 

If your income exceeds the standard deduction + 1 exemption, or you're a dependent to another taxpayer, then you are legally required to file your taxes by the tax deadline or to file an extension.  Either ways, you are required by law to report income, file taxes and either pay a difference or receive a refund.  

 

If your income did not require you to file taxes, then:

• You definitely need a joint sponsor
• You AND your joint sponsor need to complete an I-864
• You need to , per the NVC, "write and sign a statement indicating why you did not file taxes" (See NVC Required Documentation - expand "Obtain Financial Evidence section)
• If using Assets, make sure they meet the NVC requirements: "Financial sponsors can only include assets that are convertible into cash within one year and without considerable hardship or financial loss to the sponsor and his/her family. Examples of assets easily convertible to cash are savings, stocks, bonds and property. Sponsors may include the value of their home. They may not include the value of their automobile, unless they can show they have more than one and the primary automobile is not included as an asset."

First of all he would not be approved a tourist visa when they found out he had wife here who had applied for a CR1

very difficult to get a tourist visa in Morocco

and trying to get one to adjust??? FRAUD

 next we all have to submit last 3 years of taxes

they look (only) at the taxable income line to see if income qualifies

I know this as i have untaxable income that didn't (well over the needed requirements)]

You need to send in what they ask for as your case will go nowhere until they receive the transcript

and they need IRS transcript (walk into nearest IRS office and get one)

Good luck but understand you can not fight immigration

Application was completed as needed

all financial support including owning property, etc. was in order

it is just Morocco

out of 9 tourist visas that day only 1 was approved
