Hi i wonder if there is an expiration for an approved  k1? Me and my fiance decided to withdraw the application since we both no longer interested of pursuing it due to our priorities in life. He is the one living in u. S.  But he said he cant cancel it since he is way too busy travelling the world for work. He said even he will not cancel it it will expire after a year and thats considered void petition and if he or me will ever file for k1 or ever get me petition in the future there will be no problem. How true is this?

It's always better to cancel and give a reason as to why instead of letting it lapse and no-showing/callbacks. This holds true for anything with an expiration date/appointment date.
