Hi, i got my tourist visa, it is my first time here.  and the imgiration stamped valid for 6 months, which will expired on september 17, is it ok if i will stay here with my relatives, for six months straight before i leave? Thank you.

You need to leave the country before the date on your passport. So, September 17th you need to be out of the country. I'd recommend leaving a day or two early just in case theirs a delay in flights. You can definitely stay with family, just don't work or overstay your visa.

Are they  not gonna ask me why i stayed for 6 months? Thank you.

There is no exit control in the US, so there is nobody to ask you when you leave. haha

The main drawback of staying for the full 6 months (minus a couple days in case their are flight issues, as noted above) is that future visits may be more difficult for a period of time. As a general rule of thumb, you should spend twice as long outside the US as inside it. If you spend 6 months in the US, then be prepared to spend a year outside of it. I will note that this is merely a rule of thumb to follow and not a hard immigration rule...CBP has the ultimate decision upon entry for any future visit (plus there may be tax, healthcare, etc. consequences for spending over 6 months of a year in the US.

But to directly answer the question: yes. You can stay for as long as you want up until the I-94 stamp's expiration in your passport.

So i am able to go back to US like april 2018. ?

No one can say for sure when you would be allowed back into the US after a 6 month stay. There are the rare occaisions when people are allowed back in after only a short time outside of the US, but for the most part you'll need to spend at least the same amount of time outside the US than you previously spent inside the US. For instance, a 6 month stay inside the US would usually require a minimum of 6 months outside the US before being allowed re-entry.

You will more than likely be asked why you stayed for 6 months on your last visit when you attempt to re-enter the US again. If it appears that you are abusing your visa by spending too much time in the US, you will more than likely get a warning from CBP and quite possibly a shorter visit time stamped in your passport.

I take it you've never heard of APIS?

No good exit control* (Yes I have heard of it)

Not that it matters in this circumstance as OP was asking about who to notify on the way out. An automated system that works in the background to provide information to officers doesn't do anything for the OP's case.
