Question about the embassy stage

Hello, everyone!

I have a question pertaining to the embassy stage.

I obtained my case number from the NVC last week, and today I checked the status of our case online. The message I received stated that our case is "ready" for the interview (yay!! ^_^) at the Abu Dhabi embassy. I wanted to clarify just a couple of things:

1) Is our case still considered to be a non-immigrant visa at this point? If it is an immigrant visa now, do I fill out the DS-160 form?

2) I "front-loaded" the I-134 form (Affidavit of Support) with our petition. Should we resubmit this during our interview?

3) After we pay the fee, do we go ahead and schedule the interview through the embassy website?

Thank you all very much in advance for your help. We wouldn't have made it this far in the process were it not for this incredibly helpful and supportive community

It's a beautiful day to go after your dreams :star:

2) I "front-loaded" the I-134 form (Affidavit of Support) with our petition. Should we resubmit this during our interview? Don't really need to front load this but sure... and yes you take this and all documents to the interview.

3) After we pay the fee, do we go ahead and schedule the interview through the embassy website? Unsure of the process for scheduling interviews in Iran, but if you yourself do set up the interview then sure go for it. Some countries the embassy sets it up, so that's what not sure about myself.

Also don't forget to get the medical done prior to the interview as well as collecting like police report and all.

How did everything work out for you? Any advice after you get the case number?

My fiance got approved for his visa, thank God :)

After we received the case number, a few days later I received an email from the embassy in Abu Dhabi with instructions on how to schedule the interview using the case number, complete the DS-160 form, etc. It was pretty straightforward.

Good luck to you!
