Yup, that I have to agree. My husband and I looked at the prices for London and they were exorbitant! 

 

We're still waiting on Police Certificate too   

 

How is everyone going to send their documents?  Fedex? USPS Priority 2 day/Certified? UPS?  

you can do your police certificate you dont need to wait on nvc i did mines in january and only paid nvc yesterday its valid for 1 year

My husband already submitted the request few months back so it was ready when we needed it.  he called almost 2 weeks ago and it should have been delivered within 2 days but his endorser didn't realize the police were calling and delayed it by a week.  It should be here this week or next

great  so i apd my fees yesterday my lawyer did the nevessary docs got all the infor he said paymeny shows on in about 6 days on the site  what am i using to look up the infor my lin# that was assigned by uscis? or my ptsc case number by nvc? when do i start checking my  11 weeks from date of payment? sorry for all the questions

LIN # is in your welcome email/letter.

AOS fee shows PAID usually a day or two after bank sends the payment.

IV Fee can take about a week after DS 261 is reviewed (which is why you should call NVC to review the moment after you submit it)

Not sure if the process is the same with a lawyer - I think both fees are suppose to unlock simultaneously.

 

11 weeks is the expected review time for the Affidavit of support and Civil docs once NVC reviews them.

I'm not sure which step you are at since it says per your timeline you have already submitted all the documents.  I'm still waiting for my IV bill to reflect paid.  Also, if you selected your lawyer to be your agent, I think the process is a bit different.

 

My timeline:

• 03-30-2017:  Case Received By NVC
• 04-04-2017:  Case # and IIN Assigned (called NVC to confirm)
• 04-05-2017:  DS-261 unlocked & completed, called NVC and reviewed over the phone (IV fee will unlock after a week)
• 04-06-2017:  Received NVC Welcome Letter via Email, AOS Fee unlocked & paid online
• 04-07-2017:  Called NVC again and rep stated DS 261 was not actually reviewed.  Re-reviewed DS-261
• 04-11-2017:  IV Fee unlocked & paid online
• 04-??-2017:  DS-260 unlocked and submitted
• 04-??-2017:  Affidavit of Support and Supporting Documents sent via_____

Lol Everything I know I learned from others in this forum so thank god for this forum.  I have to agree with the others that being on this forum makes this long process so much better.  When we first started, we also thought it'd take 6-9 months max...only to find it was 6 months for USCIS alone...then 3-6 more for NVC

 

Hope you get your process complete before your flight!!  Let us know how that goes.

Not sure about the date.  I simply ignored it and yes, we all receive similar emails.  It's basically your welcome letter.

 

My IV fee was paid by my bank already and still not unlocked also   Going to call today as well.  Did you call them to review the DS 261?  That starts the IV unlock process and takes about a week.

I called yesterday in hopes of having them review but the gentlemen i spoke to just said to wait for it to process which will take 3 wks.  Did you call and ask them directly to review the DS261?

My first try, they said it was reviewed...few days later i found out they hadn't actually entered it into the system and the rep said it didn't look like it had been reviewed.  Just keep trying until you get a nice rep

thank you, my process is already 3 years (and i am talking about  the last leg) but every story is different....mine was really problematic, but we are at the last chapter. I thought that Italy was a mess....well, this immigration system could be so much worse. With NVC  I was kind of lucky because i was able to do the NVC paper right away, but i have to wait for the last USCIS approval (5 months....), which was sent on Feb 27....i thought that by now i was done with Interview and everything else....but still need to be a little bit patient...
