The first tier agents when you call USCIS will ask where you live, and then look up the processing times for your local field office and then tell you what you can see on the website - that "[insert name] field office is currently processing cases as of [date]" and then ask you what date is on your NOA, and then tell you that you've [number of months] wait until they get to yours.

Haha....please make your prediction again. I'm all for it! I have been looking at the timelines below for the past few weeks and everyone can understand why I've been bashing on the Atlanta office. The shocking truth is that according to these timelines on VJ forum, I am now the first person (on VJ) that filed in 2017 to be 'In line' ! That doesn't sound right.

Dude!

I'm pissed off...I'm just now learning of e-filing for N-400. I wrote a reply about this on another thread so I'm just going to copy and paste.

Here goes:

I had no idea this existed and I'm kind of pissed. I was looking at the US Citizenship Tracker on Trackit and came across this April filer from NY with a timeline that made absolutely no sense to me (see below). The "application filed" date is the same as "received date" and  "check cashed" date I looked into this case deeper and found out it was e-filed. This filer has already done interview and has oath coming up on June 27. Unbelievable.

User: psyfire Nationality: Jamaica
Service Center: Texas Application Filed: 04 Apr 2017
Priority Date: 03 Apr 2017 Check Cashed: 04 Apr 2017

Checked online and I cannot find any option to file N-400 online. As awesome as the person makes it sound I highly doubt it.

It's legit...Sorry I should have included the link.

I created an account and when I was done I was prompted to start the N-400 application. I thought I would have been able to add my existing case but I can't.

It is legit. There are a few of VJ members that have applied online using that link and have already been interviewed and sworn to oath. Seems like it's faster than the normal NBC route. However, not all are eligible to file online. You have to answer their questionnaire and from then on you will find out if you are eligible to file online. I'm not, unfortunately. I think you have to have been a permanent resident for 5+ years now.
