I am a new member

I have a question about cr 1 visa

My wife is older than me by 21 years and we met each other by chance we get married and spent a month together

My family and her family agree my question is about the red flag because of age

We have alot of things that approve our relation

Is the age will put us as red flag and what to do if so

It really depends on your culture.  I'm 14 years older than my husband and it was never an issue in our case.  If it is not normal in your culture, just make sure you have lots of proof of a bona fide relationship.  Pictures with you both with your families and letters from them attesting to the validity of your marriage could help if need be.  Best wishes to you!

Hi there,

the fact that you have been married for one month, if i well understood, is much more of a red flag than the age gap. Any marriage that is less than 2 years old is more scrutinized.

There is also an age gap between my wife and me, not so important though, but at the time i applied for AOS and got my green card, we had been married already for 23 years.

If your relationship is a month old (again if i well understood), you should not have accumulated much in that amount of time to prove that your relation is credible.

I wish you the best in your project.
