If you could do only one, either attend the interview at US Embassy, or attend your fiancée's good-bye party and fly back with her to the US, which would it be?

David and I thought about this and if could swing it, he'll come over here to be with me during the interview and see and be with my family before I leave and go home to US with him. He's thinking of 3 weeks vacation, he'll come here 2 days before my interview and then the remaining days will be spent with my family... That's the reason why we need to know when my schedules are so we could make concrete plans for all these. He really wanted to be with me during the interview and give me moral support and at the same time see my family again... Hope these plans work though... :thumbs:

Opppsss... I kind of missed the original question :blush: Can I answer in my fiancee's behalf? And do I really have to choose one???

Ok, if I would ask David to choose one, I think I'll pick having him during the interview... Anyway we could both go back here in the Philippines anytime we like as long as I got an AP... But my first post would be so much better... :whistle:

Personally I would choose to be there when she leaves the family. Sure the interview is stressful, but leaving family and country (in my opinion) would be a much more difficult process in need of close emotional support.

Just my 2 cents worth, but, which one is more important?

Sounds like its a one or the other deal. There is no question in my mind, the interview. Party anytime and if all works out and you have a couple of weeks to do this in, might be able to get visa and have a party, barring any unforseen problems. (ie ar). Seems that the majority of visas are released in around a week. (AROUND) Make a plan, get all your ducks in a row. Good luck, Jeff. (You only get one chance at the interview)

The interview by far. Your presence could probably be the biggest evidence you have of a bona fide relationship.

Definitely the interview !!! It can make a very big difference !

I was not at the interview and feel we would not be in AP now had I been there.

My VJ friend was there two days before at the same embassy with her fiance and they went through smoothly and filing for AOS now while we are stuck in the black hole.

Probably the choice we'll face is I attend the interview or nothing. It'll be difficult to come up with the money to fly there again in the first place, but I definitely believe I need to attend her interview to help prove the marraige is bona-fide. And my guess is, based upon others who have had a CR-1 interview already, she'll be put on AR and I will not be able to attend her going away party, or have her fly home with me.

I would also choose the interview because that is when your beloved will need you the most...

Our choice is for the family visit and farewell parties. It really was not a hard decision. Ann has lots of support from family and friends around Manila, so will have local support for that portion, but wants me on the airplane with her for the trip back to USA.

If it's going to be, it's up to me!

January 2005 - Met Annie online

February 13th 2006 - Met in Real - WOW!! Ikaw maganda!

February 14th 2006 - Proved I was really serious, proposed to Annie - She said "Yes"

February 2006 - January 2007 - Both working, saving, planning. Continuously chasing Annie online, on phone...

January 22, 2007 - February 4th, 2007 - Together again in Philippines, working on paperwork, visiting family.

February 27th 2007 - I-129F Mailed to Nebraska

March 6th - NOA1 Received.

May 23rd - NOA2, Received Approval Email

June 14th - Receive letter from NVC, packet on the way to Manila Embassy

July 30th - Annie receives packet from Embassy, appointment scheduled for September.

August 29th - Annie survives Blood Draw, Injections, and successfully completes Medical at St. Lukes.

September 13th - Annie is a huge success at the Embassy, SHE IS APPROVED!

September 20th - Visa in Hand, tickets purchased..

December 18th - Jumped on Airplane, Philippines for Christmas and New Year's.

December 27th - CFO Seminar Succesfully Completed

January 8th - Jumped on Airplane to USA together, Seattle POE, arrived home to Kansas.

March 14, 2008 - Married

May 19, 2008 - AOS NOA1 Recieved, Biometrics scheduled for June 18.

If we had that choice, I'd ask for him to be here for the farewells. The interview was like 2 minutes long :P I'd rather have someone to cling to during take off, and queueing and all that in the airport ^_^

But! I agree that your presence could be the strongest evidence of a bona fide relationship. I just wonder how much of the interview is for determining that and how much is for checking whether you can support your fiancee or not...

Hind sight is always best :whistle: The embassy was easy for us so I would choose to spend the time with her at the good bye party and fly home with her. I really love her family and it was driving me crazy waiting for her to come out of customs!
