Congratulations. My husband's interview is a week from today March 13th. How long after the interview was the Visa approved?

Any tips for the interview?

Thanks

I didn't attend the interview with my husband due to work and it went quiet well and easy for him. The visa was approved same day of the interview and his passport is already ready in 2 business days ! He should be coming home Friday ! But yea tips for the interview is just be yourself and be extra prepared with documents !  In my husbands interview they didn't even take any pics from him he told me it was nice and smooth thank the lord! best of luck to you keep us posted!

as per stuffs i read, number 1 bring necessary Original documents, if you have other proofs like pictures with the family, remittances, etc. (though most of the times those weren't ask) but it's better to be prepared

you need to be confident , be honest, smile,

Congratulations.  I was reading you post and saw that you were not at the interview.  Do you know what questions they asked him if any?  What documents do you suggest you should take to the interview? Did they ask him questions about you? My case was just transferred to the Texas office so I am guessing that my husband's paperwork will soon be approved....

I wasn't a bit nervous not going since I do have a divorce but my husband said they only asked him basic questions my bday ? And my sons bday who isn't his and they even asked him if he knew my ex husband . I feel all documents listed on the list before the interview should be brought be extra prepared always best ! They didn't even see the pics which was quite crazy to me cause everyone always states u have to take many pics ! And yes sis me I didn't go I sent a letter from my employer excuseing me from the interview but they didn't ask for that either... my best advice is to be yourself and be honest best of luck to you !

My husband had his interview March 13th and I also was not able to attend. He said the process was painless. He was asked how we met, if I knew his family and daughter and if he has met my family and son. They asked him what I did for a living and what was the name of the company I worked at, my birthdate, and other basic questions and also did take a look at our wedding pictures. He said the entire interview lasted 5-7 minutes. The process from door to door was about 4 hours. He got his Visa 2 days later. I'm flying out to pick him up this weekend. :)
