Check in at NAIA without credit card used

Has anyone here flew with Emirates Airline from the Philippines to the US?? Do they allow check in at NAIA even if the credit card used belongs to my fiance in the US? He will not be traveling with me and my son cause he's in the US.

Hi! I flew thru Emirates Airlines but from Dubai. They did not ask anything about who paid for the ticket. I think as long you have the copy of the ticket with you, they will just need the booking ref # which is on the ticket, put in the details in their system and your flight details will appear. I haven't heard of any case about the immigration asking about the credit card of the payee to be honest. I even flew from NAIA to Bangkok back in 2014 and I used my friend's credit card to purchase my ticket, the only thing they asked me was who owns the credit card used and I told them it is my friend who was not even traveling with me at the time. They did not say anything after that and they let me in.

A friend of mine uses my credit card to book for her flights using emirates to dubai and back to Philippines. She were never asked anout whose card (but perhaps different cases in every situatio )

 

Or you may bring a photocopy of his card (front card only, and blur 4 digits  using an app editor) and a letter that he booked your flight using his credit card as his fiancee

Most websites where you booked tickets had already an added layer of protection (securecode visa/verified mastercard) and so they wont ask for the credit card used during check-in. Being a frequent traveler, I personally called the airlines' customer service hotline to verify this and i was informed that if payment went through with verified mastercard, they no longer asks for the actual card. 

 

well, me being over the top and a bit paranoid, i do carry additional docs just to make sure i wont be in any trouble at some point.

You can keep a copy of a letter signed by the credit card holder authorizing and stating that he is fully aware of the transaction + a copy of his ID with signature. I'm not saying you have to do this, but if it ease you and if you dont mind the extra effort, why not?

I was warned ahead of time that we will need to present the VISA that was used to purchase the tickets.   I said its MY visa and I was purchasing tickets for her flight to the U.S....

 

They then told me to get a COPY (SCAN) of the FRONT AND BACK of the credit card.   She will need this printed on a piece of paper - do not try to show them your phone with the scan on there.

 

That was with Philippine Airlines.   You might want to check with them if this will suffice.

Agree. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines can be strict sometimes. Depends on the crew at the check-in counter (if he/she goes by the book).

I believe the front copy of the credit card should be sufficient with the card number and account name. I wont take a copy at the back because of the risk exposing the CSC (card security code)

i suggest you cover 4 digits in the middle or the first 4 numbers and or the cvc at the back.. to avoid credit card scamming

If you didnt buy it in PH/PH Currency, most likely it doesnt include the travel tax yet.

About your son's CFO Seminar,
