As Ben&Zian said above, you can meet anywhere in the world, just be sure to have proof of the meeting. In regards to people saying he should meet you in Morocco, this is probably because its usually much easier for the US citizen to travel to Morocco (no visa needed unless staying for longer than 90 days), vs the Moroccan citizen applying for a tourist visa to the USA, which are very often denied. I have heard of Moroccans traveling to the USA on student or work visas, as well as the very occasional tourist visa, and meeting the US citizen in the United States, so where the meeting takes place is not an issue.

It doesn't matter where you meet as long as you actually meet in person. The more visits the better.

When you go there try to take as many pictures together as possible (selfies of you together as well as pictures of you taken by others). Also, try to meet his friends and family there and take as many pictures as possible.

Good luck! :)

Hello,

I agree. You can meet anywhere as long as you meet physically. Before my fiancé was approved we saw each other twice while he was living in Italy. I saw him again when he moved back to Morocco. We didn't have any problems during our visa process. Good luck!
