If they aren't using it and it's mandatory, they are in violation. Punish them swiftly and where it hurts most, in the wallet.

That is also already in place, but there is no way to control who does and who doesn't. Must be all those libruhl business owners not properly vetting their employees.

It's not actually mandatory for all employers and it varies from state to state. There is no Federal requirement for making all employers use it.

I do rail against companies that hire them. My owner wanted them hired and they worked 2x as hard for the same money

Nope all that was required at the time was 2 forms of I'd on the I 9. No requirement to check or verify the ID   I was not the person hiring.  I just asked for workers
