Can someone please explain how the processing times listed on VJ can go back and forth? For example yesterday the website said that CSC was processing petitions with an NOA1 date of December 1,2016 but today the date being processed says November 24, 2016.

Those processing times are only based on what members of this forum fill out, some might fill out the wrong dates, some might not fill them out at all. And obviously it changes if petitions are approved in 30 days one day, and then in 32 days the next day. It'll go up and down all the time. 

 

Those are just estimates anyway, so no need to follow them blindly.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021
