I-129f exp. date

Hello everyone!

Back in mid November 2016, as we were preparing our K1 package with all the files, we downloaded the I-129f formular from the USCIS website. The date of expire was of the year 2016. Now, I was checking the website once more and I saw that there's new formulars (I-129f and others needed for the K1 package) that the expire date changed (now it says 2018). Will this create any problems for my package? Back when I downloaded the formular, there was no other more "recent" with recent date of exp.

Had you already submitted the I-129F before the new edition was released? Or are you just about to submit it?

 

If you haven't submitted it yet, then yes you need to redo it with the new updated forms.

 

If you already have submitted it, for example, yesterday, it may get kicked back as it was outdated form, or they may let it process as normal, could depend on the person reviewing your file; but you might not find out for 2-3 months even.

Hi!!

Thank you for your quick answer!. I did already submitted back in November (mid Nov.). I was just checking the website and it said that people who submitted before Dec. 23rd could still use the old version of it!. The waiting for the NOA2 sometimes can make you doubt if you submitted everything correctly or not haha

Then you're fine. You just need to wait for them to process it.

Oh yeah if you submitted before the new version you have no worries at all.
