So we were married on a K1 visa and are going through the AOS process. We had one RFE due to a mistake on household size. we have since returned the form with the correct information. My question is the website now says "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". Does this mean we have made it through the RFE stage now? Does "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" mean there will be an interview, or could we still not have to do one? and originally we sent our paperwork to Chicago but our RFE went to Missouri, Did our case get transfered? Does anyone knows what all this means? thank you in advance for any insight.

You can get an rfe at any time but you are moved on to the next stage. Most likely you will not get any though.

You might still not get an interview, that's just the standard status update

Chicago is just the lockbox facility. Missouri is where the National Benefits Center  (NBC) is. You will be notified if your case is transferred to your local uscis office.

Does anyone knows what all this means? thank you in advance for any insight.

Good luck :)

You sent your papers to the lockbox in Chicago but aos from k1 (and I believe all family based aos as well) are dealt at the national benefits center in Missouri, so nothing strange about that.

No one is past rfes until they have green card in hand but they should be satisfied for now until the interview. I believe there's still a possibility not to have an interview, but wouldn't hold my breath and just wait for it to be scheduled, depending on your field office it can take a while.

What Suss&Camm wrote is exactly right. I just want to add that we fot an RFE for the same error. We never received confirmation that the revised form was recieved. Our case then was in the ready for interview status but we never received an interview and the green card was received by mail.
