Have y'all checked the case online?  is it inQue for interview or has an interview been scheduled? If not I would call USCIS or make an InfoPath to see what's going on. However depending on your local office they might have mamy cases to work with.

Sometimes it takes a long time, depending how busy your local USCIS office is. It took me about 4 months to go from "in-line for interview" to receive the interview letter. The interview was about a month after I received the interview letter.

The whole process from filing to oath ceremony took 8 months for me.

Honestly even though as the other member said it takes a long time, but I think you should start calling USCIS, or make an infopass if your status says anything about an interview letter was sent. 5 months waiting since biometrics is a loooong time.

Its basically an appointment where you meet a USCIS officer and ask them what is the status of your case.

You can call the 1800 # to USCIS as well.

the link to make an appointment is:

Thanks.. we just called to USCIS using the number that you gave me.. looks like they have a lot of applications.. they just said that they are still processing may 14,2016 applications.. we're thinking its been 5 months after filing yet we dont have any interview notice.. so sad.

I'm glad you got to call them and at least know where your case stands. It's very sad that they are still working on applications filed in May.

All you can do as of now is wait and make sure that you are informed about your case.

I wish yall luck.

If you look at the August filers thread, it looks like a lot of people who filed in August are still waiting for interviews. USCIS recently had some issues with their electronic filing system, and people who applied around last May-August were affected and their applications have been taking a longer time than usual. Here's the link to the August thread in case you haven't seen it yet. Hope you get your interview soon!
