Transferred...not transferred?

Strange....we received a transfer notice dated November 18, 2016 stating our K-1 was transferred to NBC. I originally thought this was odd because NBC doesn't process K-1...so, we waited awhile and I thought I'd give USCIS a call today to ask why it was transferred to NBC and/or if something new was happening. The USCIS automated system stated they sent out the transfer notice with date as noted and case was "transferred" to Laguna Negril, CA--which is where I THOUGHT it had gone after leaving Texas in the first place. The USCIS agent said the only transfer our case ever made was to CA. Anyway, I am a little confused....

The agent also looked up current processing times for CSC and reports K-1 petitions are currently taking 210-240 days. :( So it seems the few months is now at several months, 7-8... Welcome to 2017????

My fiancé and I also have to file an I-212. The fee for that went from just under $600 to now $930. :dead:

Sure wish attorneys were more affordable. It seems like they can move things along faster for some reason...

Ouch.. not just on the wait time but the I-212 fee.

Lawyers, while sometimes helpful and sometimes not so helpful, can't make it quicker, USCIS runs, or walks maybe is better, at their own pace, no one else's,

Wish the best to you.
