My Fillipina fiancé has been given a case number for our K1 visa in Manila.(viewed on line) We have not gotten a letter or a e-mail confirming it though. We need some sort of document relating to the K1 visa to give to the Singapore authorities for the police clearance document for the interview. Does anyone know exactly what we need and how long it took to get from Singapore? We have the 1-797 Notice of Action.. Will this suffice? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My wife went to SG and requested the COC in person. She received it in the mail a week later in Indonesia.

If you don't do it in person, it can take up to 6 weeks to receive.

You fiancee should receive something from the embassy that lists items needed for the interview, one of which will be the need for a police clearance.

Or you can email the embassy directly and ask they send you something called the "Singapore letter". In my past research on this topic that is what some people from Phils did to get the SG COC.

Good luck!

Since you have the case and invoice number, Your fiance can start the process now. She needs to pay the fees and complete DS-160 online. After it's completed, and sent online, then...

You have to wait for Packet 3...inside of it there is going to be a letter included regarding Police Clearance COC. Whenever you have that letter you need to apply for the COC online and it is IMPORTANT to upload it with the application or it will be rejected. They will email her confirmation of the application and a few days later they will notify if it was approved. The entire process will take less than 10 days. Your fiance will end up going to the Police Dept. do fingerprint and they will give it to her in less than an hour. It is no longer sent directly to the Embassy.

Also, very important, she needs to order original CENOMAR online and have it delivered to the US Embassy directly. It will not be accepted if hand carried. NBI clearance she can hand carry.

For you, the petitioner, be sure if you have been married to send her ORIGINAL COPY OF DIVORCE from the court with wet ink.

Packet 3 never comes for those in the Philippines. You need to rely on the Embassy Letter for USEM Manila (link below). See the link below for more current information on Police Clearance for Singapore from a recent post. Also the official required information as it pertains to PC's from Department of State.

Please move this post to the sub forum for the Philippines. Requirements are different for each Embassy.
