Kushner: we struck deal with Sinclair for straighter coverage

Donald Trump's campaign struck a deal with Sinclair Broadcast Group during the campaign to try and secure better media coverage, his son-in-law Jared Kushner told business executives Friday in Manhattan.

Kushner said the agreement with Sinclair, which owns television stations across the country in many swing states and often packages news for their affiliates to run, gave them more access to Trump and the campaign, according to six people who heard his remarks.

In exchange, Sinclair would broadcast their Trump interviews across the country without commentary, Kushner said. Kushner highlighted that Sinclair, in states like Ohio, reaches a much wider audience around 250,000 listeners than networks like CNN, which reach somewhere around 30,000.

Its math, Kushner said according to multiple attendees.

Scott Livingston, vice president of news at Sinclair, said the offer for extended interviews with local anchors was made to both candidates. Trump did a handful of interviews, while Sen. Tim Kaine did a few as well, though Hillary Clinton did not.

A dictator's dream come true. No commentary, no opposing opinions, soft questions without any comebacks. A nice safe place !!!

Trump hasn't had a presser since winning...so much for transparency. All his followers have to fall back on are words like snowflakes and making fun of Hillary who isn't even in the picture anymore.

Intel briefings? Who needs them? Just follow orders from the guy at the top, coz he's so smart.

Shrewd move of Jared's ;) !!!

Daddy!

Ahhh, how soon we forget how some presidents don't put much stock in those daily Intel briefs, and haven't since the very beginning...

The White House has a intelligence-focused Presidential Daily Brief scheduled for President Obama. But, according to a new report by the Government Accountability Institute, the President has attended 42.1% of them since he was sworn in.

Is this anything like the "off-the-record" private dinner the mainstream media types attended at Podesta's house? So let's see, Hillary had reporters and commentators from all the big media outlets in her corner, and Trump had Sinclair. How did Hillary lose? That's right, we had alternative sources to report her secrets al la Wikileaks.
