Physical Green Card not arrived

 Share

Hi everyone,

I was granted a green card earlier this year and first entered the US on June 14th. My paperwork says that the physical green card could take 6 months to arrive. It's still not here.

A month after moving here, we moved from PA to TX. I filed this change online (https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do).

Does anyone have experience of who I should call to ask about the physical green card? What information will I need?

Many Thanks
Mark

If you wrote down your IOE number when you paid the ELIS fee, then you can track your GC

Don't know what that means to be honest! Is there a way to find it? How do I then track if I have it?

Hi

the IOE is the reference number you would have received when you paid your Immigration fee of $165. Look at your receipt for the number and then email USCIS, They can tell you what as happened to your physical Green card.

If you haven't paid the immigrant visa fee, go to https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/log-online-filing and pay it.

If you paid the immigrant visa fee and have the IOE receipt number, call USCIS at 1 (800) 375-5283 (horrible voice menu system - when I last called, 1-2-2-2 got me through to a human operator).

If you don't have the IOE receipt number, go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/contactus and send them a note (there's a box in the form for "receipt number", but it's optional). Give them as much information as you can and explain that you haven't received your green card and don't have the IOE number. You should hear something within two weeks.

No such luck. The IOE number you're looking for should be IOE followed by 10 digits (e.g. IOE-01-234-56789). Your best bet is to go to their contactus link above and include that email in your message (that's what I did - still waiting on the card, but I got the IOE number from them).
