"Sand monkey" is a known racial slur. If you wished to comment on the "subhuman" behavior of the leadership in Iran, then you should have done so in a clear manner. Racial epithets are not tolerated on Visa Journey.

I'm wondering what Iran is trying to pull. See, we go on about the Axis of Evil all the time, but Iran's leaders, while certainly not nice guys, haven't been in power nearly 30 years by being stupid. It's not like 1979; that was a coup.

Nasty theocracy, yes. Prone to irrational bouts of stupid moves, no. This seems to be blindingly dumb, because I can't see what they'd get out of holding 15 sailors.

Its most likely for propaganda purposes, parading the sailors on TV would seem to confirm that. I guess they're trying to make it look as though Britain is the aggressor.

Discussion on the topics is ok but this topic has become attacking at includes racial slurs that are not good for VJ. If we can discuss this topic in a fair way without singling out groups and such then it is ok.
