Everyone here thought he was right on the money before the election. Perhaps he'll keep that track record going.

Lichtman made another call: that if elected, Trump would eventually be impeached by a Republican Congress that would prefer a President Mike Pence — someone whom establishment Republicans know and trust.

“I'm going to make another prediction,” he said. “This one is not based on a system; it's just my gut. They don't want Trump as president, because they can't control him. He's unpredictable. They'd love to have Pence — an absolutely down-the-line, conservative, controllable Republican. And I'm quite certain Trump will give someone grounds for impeachment, either by doing something that endangers national security or because it helps his pocketbook.”

I'm not sure if I would rather have Mike Pence as the President.

A crazy as Trump was during the campaigning, and no matter how many completely offensive things he said, there were times in the past where he has shown himself to be a more rational human being. There is still the possibility that his "past self" will prevail now that he is President-elect. I may not agree with most of what Trump said on the campaign trail, but he said very little about his policies (other than the fact that they'll be "great") so I'll have to wait and see what he actually tries to do.

Right now, there's more political risk to anyone in congress taking on Trump than it would be worth. They may not agree with him philosophically on some things, but it's not just the Democrats who got surprised by Trump. Most of the Republican party just finished getting schooled in what happens if you go against Trump as well. I don't see any of them ready to risk political suicide.
