Hello everyone!

I have been a silent reader of this wonderful and very helpful forum for the past 2 and a half years. after a very long wait, my immigration visa interview is coming up on November 14 in Montreal. I have gathered all documents that are/may be required in the interview, I cannot get a hold of my husband's tax return transcript for the year 2015. We do have husband's W2 as well as my brother in law's, who graciously signed as a co-sponsor, W2 and tax transcript, we seem to have lost last year's tax transcript of my husband.

Requesting IRS to send us a copy by mail is pointless at this point because it is gonna take at least 5 business days while my interview date is less than a week away.

the only option we have at this point is that husband is going to walk in to one of the IRS offices tomorrow and, hopefully, they will be able to assist us in this predicament. But if, God forbid, that does not work for some reason, my question for all of you is what can I do to supplement or support my case in case I don't have husband's last year tax transcript? Will his W2 suffice?

We got married in Dec 2013 and this is the day we have been waiting for almost 3 years now and I do not want to screw anything up.

Please help me

You can get it electronically. See above.

Hi gregcrs2!

My husband does not have a credit card nor does he possess a auto loan insurance/home equity loan/line of credit/mortgage that we can use to register ourselves to obtain the online copy of return transcript and one of the above-mentioned piece of information is vital in the registration process.

My advice postphone your interview date.tell your husband to request a new one, if you don't have with it you on your interview day you will be put under AP, until you provide a copy.Am sure u av read alot about Montreal AP you don't want to wait for your passport for 3 months more.

Take his tax return instead. You can use a tax transcript or entire tax return.

Postponing an IR1/CR1 interview is neigh impossible.
