I-864EZ Requirements Question

I'm getting ready to fill out the Affidavit of Support form, and I *think* I can use the EZ form, but wanted to double-check on here first. The only thing I'm unsure about is this line:

The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).

I have my IRS transcripts for the past three years, but I don't have my W-2 forms from my employer on hand. Will those work instead?

Thanks!

That is what we did. I will tell you though that when my wife went to the interview in Montreal she presented just the tax transcripts and they did not approve her case at that time. Luckily before she left Montreal I emailed montreal and was able to email a copy of my latest W-2 and she was able to re-drop off her passport that day for case approval.

short answer for us it was okay to use the tax transcript for our initial packet support but we needed to have a W-2 at the time of interview.

Is the W2 something you can get from your employer? I'm just not sure where I put my paperwork from February of this year when I filed taxes last.

Transcripts are preferred and that is all you need, don't worry about obtaining W2 forms.

Right, W2's are only needed if you are coupling them with copies of your tax return. If you are submitting a transcript, they are not required.
