My fiance was cautioned for marijuana possession which was on his subject access and was drug tested at the medical, which he passed. However, he was denied at his interview based on the controlled substance charge needing to be 15 years old to be admissible, despite knowing many people on here have been approved with marijuana cautions. We thought all hope was lost but today he received an email from the embassy stating "Upon further review, we can now go ahead and process your K1 visa. Please forward your passport to us for processing ASAP." We are absolutely shocked to say the least. My question is regarding when we log in it now says "current status: send documents" and to the right it has a link saying "Consular Section instructed me to send more documents" when we click that it brings you to a follow up documents request page..it asks for a "reason for request" which is kind of confusing to me because they are the ones requesting for the documents, should we copy and paste the email that they sent regarding the request? Hoping someone has had to deal with this before

It would do know harm copying in part of their email. I to had to sent my docs back down to them on their instructions. I just took my envelope to courier as it was all arranged by them, it didn't ask me for a reason though. Make sure you get a receipt tracking number when you leave it with DX

Oh wow!

I've never heard of it before but it's good to know if they make a mistake they rectify it, I'd be getting the passport to them asap and would have a sticky label with the LND clearly visible attached to it.

Congratulations :D

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey
