Hi everyone,

can anyone help me out, I have a question,

after receiving an interview date , we have received a list of items my husband has to take to the interview and one of the is:

If the petitioner did not file tax returns during the most recent tax year he/she must submit a written explanation about the reason and a copy of the instructions from the Internal Revenue Service publication that shows he/she was not obligated to file tax returns in the US.

which in our case, I didn't file tax last year and with the package, i sent them a letter that i have been supported financially through my husband and dad , therefore i haven't worked and have only studied and done some tutoring all along...

now, i dont know what are they asking me ? what is the "instructions from the Internal Revenue Service publication" ?

has anyone had the same issue? can anyone help me out please?

Thank you so much!
