Hello everyone

I did my FB 1 interview June 23th 2016 in dakar, everything went okay and the councillor asked me to pick the visa the following tuesday, to my surprise my passport was instead returned to me and I was told my case is now under administrative processing which was rather dissapointing and they promised to call me whenever they have finalised thing.

3 months passed without any called

There is nothing you can do. It sounds like you are stuck in background check. You'll just have to wait til you hear from them again.

Is there a way to know what month of back ground check or so they are looking at?

Background checks don't work on a priority system, because it depends on where you are from, how much you have travelled, your name and how common it is etc etc. It is rarely more than 6 months, but we have had cases of several years of AP on here. If it's been more than 3 months with no word at all, I would have the USC contact the embassy and see if there is any update.

Been in ap for 15 months now Penquin, I heard 28 months is norm right now. I only hear because I pester the hell out of them but I think it's just make them mad and they toss our case behind the closest trash bin . (Just joking of course)
