My husband's green card for the 2 year period ends May 2017. We are looking to move to another state end of May 2017. We still want him to be able to work after we move. When do we start filing for the AOS pforms? Is now, October 2016 too soon?

He can continue to work while his Greencard is being renewed. He will get a letter that extends his GC or one year when they receive your package. And yes, it's too early now. Please look at the I-751 Instructions.

And it's called "Removal of Conditions" not Adjustment of Status. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

You file for ROC within the 90 days before the 2-year anniversary date coming up. Here's a link to help you calculate: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/dateCalculator.html

Enter the date of the 2 years on the first line. Remember you have to let USCIS know when you move, within 10 days.
