Hello-

American petitioner here writing. My fiance's interview is next Tuesday. Her and I just realized, when sitting down to assemble the documents for the interview, that she was supposed to have received a packet of instructions for preparing for the interview. She didn't receive anything. I've already emailed the consulate in Rio. Please help. I am flying down to Brazil this Wednesday so I need to figure this out ASAP. Thank you in advance.

In my case, they never sent me a letter either. Most people email the consulate and ask about it. I was lucky enough to have someone who had received the letter earlier send it to me right away, because in my case, my fiance needed the letter for his medical appointment.

she won't receive anything from the consulate. The Rio consulate only sends out an email to the petitioner (you) that you should forward to your foreign partner.

The email only states what's written on their website, telling you to set the medical appointment and a link for what documents your should take to the interview (that's not even working anymore, or so I read recently in the Brazilian thread)

Hi p-ana!

Thanks for your reply. Is this perhaps the link that you're referring to? I found this on the Rio Consulate's website:

It was a link regarding the k1 visa and the list and order of documents (this one you posted is for immigrant visas because the ds260 is listed). For her interview you should follow the list of required documents listed on the bottom of this page https://br.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee/the-interview-2/
