Prices for Medical in Nigeria

Please my Nigerian brothers and sisters help me get this information correct and out to the people.

I have got so many prices from varies people who have called both Q-Life and Children's.

Prices of medical quoted from N50,000 to N170,000. How is that even possible?

Now the new testing for gonorrhea is in effect and the prices. So whoever is going to medicals at either place please report back here what you paid.

As my friend said about the N170,000, "Are we petitioning to go to heaven"?

For Children's hospital: There is a base/flat fee of N15,550 naira, plus additional fees for each vaccine that you get. My fiance got four vaccines and his total price for the additional four vaccination was N24,500. This was last week September 28 2016.

We went to QLIFE and for our little girl it cost us 120,000 N. They said it was because she need vacinations, but they only did 3 and requested that I get the boosters when I get back to the US. My husbands cost was 80,000 N.

Chineke bella. Na wa o. Lord what did they give them shots of gold. My husbands was N40,000 back in March because he had to get an extra test to check his heart. So an additional N10,000 Otherwise he would have been good to go. He just got the 3 shots also.

Goodness what test did they get done and the shots. There's only 3 shots that are required and the cost total about N15k. When did you get all this done. Cuz what you paid is so not the norm.

I know they try and tell people to get the HEP shots which is not needed. They are coming to the US. Not needed and extra expense not necessary.

Thank you dwheels for starting this thread! My husband was told 130k with the new test at Children's. I truly believe the person answering the phone and quoting costs doesn't know what they are talking about, and is causing people much worry.

One friend just reported back for me.He has a friend that went to Children's Place last week.

He had 3 shots costing N28K. What you pay I know depends on what you get and some get talked into excessive extra test and shots that aren't needed.

so N28,000

N15,550

N43,550 is about the range. I would prepare to have at least N50,000 to N60,000. Justin case.

At Children's they are not letting people in to see the doctor without paying for more than what they need. They say there will be a refund afterwards for the amount paid for the vaccinations and tests that were unnecessary.

As crazy as it looks at the current exchange rate N110,000 is $351 which is just about a $50 hike because f the new test. So it doesn't look so crazy now.

My husband also had to do the extra EKG because they didn't like how his heart looked on X-Ray and paid an extra N10,000.

Did he get the 3 required shots or more shots?

Is the medical still N15,500 than the shots are the other charges? Just would like to know the breakdown in cost.

So looks like N110,000 and up is the new cost.

It seems that way. I try to look at it in American dollors so I don't freak out about the price. But everything cost more than it State on Embassy web page. It States pay interview cost is 39800 but he paid 888,700 something like that .
