Update for Memphis. I decided to drive a long way to do an infopass and as far as the online processing times, the IO told me that that page only factors in the ones filed through the online system.

Which would be the ill-fated IOE N400's. That seems odd, as they've always shown the numbers for filing in the usual way.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Congrats people! ?

Unfortunately for us, we're still waiting. ? The disparity in processing time for 3 and 5 year filers is craazzzzyyyy. ?

Do you mean 5 year filers are processed faster?

Looks slower, just from our chart. There's exceptions, but then, aren't there always?

True that! What did you mean by the IOE N400s, and why are they ill-fated?

They introduced a new N400 back in April and all applicants who filed using the new form between April and into  September, were getting IOE receipt numbers. Many of the  May applicants with IOE numbers still didn't  have their interviews scheduled as of December.  There was an issue with ELIS and conducting correct and through security checks. There is plenty of talk about this in the July and August N400 threads. It seems to me it has caused a backup of fairly epic proportions.  So, even though people who filed later may have dodged the ELIS bullet, and have NBC numbers, there are follow on effects.Everything is slowed.

Oh God... my kid turns 18 in October and I'm a 5 year february filer. :/  Whats interesting is i met someone the other say who filed in october, interviewed in december (at my local office in NH) but was waiting to hear about her oath ceremony. this was a couple weeks ago. the lack of rhyme or reason is infruriating.

Nothing has ever really made sense to me, in the way they do what they do. All appears random, and sort of chaotic. I'm not in a hurry, I've been a green card holder since 2009, so I'm not under any deadline. I can't imagine how irritated I would be if I were.

Who knows really, they could speed up again tomorrow, they've done that often enough over the years.  In the meantime, we sit and fiddle :D

The office was super busy when I visited. A-L-O-T of people. I just want to cry and cry. The funny thing is that my case was supposed to be  "expedited" from the start. I'm sitting at 5 months now.

Wow. So much for an expedite. Did they at least tell you anything about your case, to help you? You must have gone all that way with a question you wanted the answer to :(

I try to keep in mind, not everyone is on VJ, and that the ones who are here are only a tiny fraction of applicants. I guess that's why nobody from that office has had an interview, being as how they are busy busy.

I honestly just went to see what the heck is going on!! L-2 officers are not always forthcoming, so I chose to just drive. The IO tracked my file and said I'd be scheduled within the next 30-40. I just keep my fingers crossed.

Well, at least you were able  find something out. I'm glad you have at least a ballpark figure. I hope it comes sooner than that. Be sure to let us know, okay?
