I agree but Jesus it's her job to know these things. I hope she didn't get us completely screwed over.

On the 221g slip it says drop it off at any one of the 11 drop off centers in India, however maybe it would be processed faster if we dropped it off in Mumbai where his interview originally took place?

If Mumbai is a drop off center then you can drop it off there.

I'd recommend dropping it off at a location listed, if it's not listed then don't drop it off there.

Did you get a new medical or are you just going to give them a passport and see what happens?

It shouldn't process any faster, and unless you were told different recently (as in you contacted them and you have proof to attach along with the passport such as an email or letter), it may only slow it down dropping it off at a place that isn't listed.

Your case is now being treated like any 221g, again unless you have proof that they're letting you go ahead and send the passport without a new medical back. So it's going to have to be dropped off (along with the new medical) at one of those locations.

221g's are done in the order they get to someone who goes through them. There's the "we got it phase" and then it may sit in a pile for a while until someone checks it over, and then there's the "Okay, they fufilled what the 221g is asking for" phase or the "No this isn't what we needed phase/we need more info" phase, and THEN it'll get to the person who can give the approval stamp.

If you already have the new medical, then just get the ball rolling and drop it off at the listed location. I'd be careful if you just want to drop off the passport without any letter explaining why they're getting a random passport, because their system will tell them they want more than a passport.

they have to have a process which is why they put that there...don't go changing it around may cause longer delays vs making it happen quicker.

Mumbai is a drop off center.

Our 221g states not to get a new medical exam until January...and *only* in January for some reason. And then to take that along with my husband's passport to a drop off center.
