relax, everything will be fine. when you see him after waiting for customs, you will remember the reason you started this. take your time. it will be a adjustment for him and you and everyone around you. coming from the DR is a adjustment. my wife flew her first time also. make sure he has your phone number just in case customs tries to call you. (it happened to me and i missed the first call) . have faith. one phase is ending and another is beginning.

Getting cold feet happens to most of us planning to marry

and marriage break up in the US even when the people have known each other all their lives

Cant go on what is here or what happens to your neighbor

Marriage is a work in progress

be careful not to create financial problems and treat each other with love, kindness and respect

never let a small problem get out of hand into a bigger issue

when financee comes try to date the weeks before the marriage and enjoy this time as you have missed the dating parts ( the fun times)

Wow 36 hours. Nerves are good. It's your pregame jitters talking.

Those always went away when I got my first contact in game. So I imagine first embrace and they will melt away.

So excited for you guys .

OH wow congrats....where is his Poe??

Thank you! We had it set up for him to POE in Detroit. He went to board his flight earlier, he sat on the plane for 2 hours, and they finally told them they were going to have to cancel the flight because off engine issues that couldn't be fixed.I was so upset. Happy he didn't get on a flight and crash because Of engine failure, but upset because he should've been on his way already. So they told him they were going to put him in a hotel until the 27th. At that point I was beyond upset. I told him to tell them he can and will not wait that long. So he did. Then they printed him a ticket for a flight 3 hours later. Thank goodness. So now he is officially on his way, but his POE changed to Chicago.

Its ok to be nervous

remember we all have faults

always give respect & make sure you get it in return

there will be disagreements dont turn a mole onto a hill

remember we are always on our best behavior at the beginning

be sure you are both comfortable farting around each other

discuss finances expectations and transparency in matters

get to know each other well, do you both want kids & how you'll raise them

discuss expectations of either family visits length of stay & customs in your home

practise honesty with each other about everything

nerver take tales from others without proving for yourself

If things donr seem how it should be then cancel before the leap

all these things help to know who the other is, after 80 days you should be

sure if its your life partner,,,,best wishes

Ohh wow at least he's on a good plane...chicago was a tough POE for a march filer hes from romania but he came on a plane from istanbul....he was held 8 hours....

You have 90 days to let the nerves settle. Take that time to see how he adjust to living in the US.

Everything will be different...24/7 electricity, hot water ( make sure you show him so he doesn't burn himself), living with indoor pets, and learning to live as a family.

He is leaving everything he knows behind, he will count on you in this adjustment time.

You are lucky you have a Hispanic community, where i live you have to go to a Mexican restaurant to find someone that speaks Spanish.

You learn more from your disagreements than anything, so communication is key in any relationship!

Be open and yet stand your ground when needed. Respect goes a long way!
