y all trying to judge me.ok fine. but first look at yourself in mirror are you all saints? i got food stamps because i paid in the system. i worked at job for 38k a month. so i paid in the system that i took out.second of all i have this job for only a month. thats why i asked do it it effect my chances if i am on food stamps. i am going to stop receiving them after my pay check arrives.i needed a security that this job is permanent.i am not crazy that i am travelling for him without thinking. my cousin married an indian. together they make 90k a month. they have been togther for 4 years. yes they met online and the guy i talking to is from his area.you all stop judging please.

Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Don't work yourself up, work on the flags in your case.

And you never paid taxes??? And now you make 1/19th of that? There is no way at 38K a month, that the OP does not owe TONS of back taxes. TONS!!! What did you do with your 38K/month salary that you now are on food stamps? Something is very wrong and very off here. If you saved any of that very exorbitant salary, you should have enough in assets to sponsor multiple households. What is really going on here? :unsure:

You can't file K-1 if you are not divorced.

When he arrives he can't work before he gets his EAD takes about 90 days. (Sent in with AOS after marriage, cost $1,070)

You also have a problem with your taxes and your income.

You may thing people are rude or whatever but people just look at your red flags in all of this, also 4 months online connection, one meeting and the indian embassy doesn't sound as easy as you may think. People in here have all gone through some kind of process and know what they are saying they are trying to help you.

1. If you have an income, you must file tax returns even if you don't have to pay tax.

2. Must be legally and officially divorced; cannot petition for K-1 while separated.

3. As a single mom, be careful about marrying someone overseas. Expect lots of scrutiny if you and boyfriend are not of similar cultures and ages.

So the OP isn't even free to marry? :rolleyes:

OP, why waste our time and then get defensive about the advice? You can't even apply for a K1 visa in the first place.

Salary went from 38K to 2K a month. Forced to go on food stamps. Met a foreigner online 4 months ago. Is going to spend $$$ to travel to meet said foreigner and apply for K1 but can't afford food. Has minor children. Doesn't pay taxes because she didn't bother to verify if she has to file or not. Is still married. Oy vey! :rolleyes:

05/24/06 - Biometrics letter became viewable online (appt scheduled for 06/07/16) - Day 14

05/27/16 - Received Biometrics letter in mail - Day 17

05/31/16 - Was denied walk-in fingerprints with just 1 person left in line. Milwaukee office, boo! - Day 21

06/07/16 - Biometrics completed in Milwaukee, WI - Day 28

12/21/16 - Passed Citizenship test/Interview was successful! - Day 197

01/26/17 - I am a US citizen!!! - Day 233
