When did they start with bio for K-2?

Timeline

Normally when K-2 is under 14 they don't do bio.

I have seen others with K-2 under 14 there had to do bio and just got bio-letter for my 10 year old also.

When did they start with that? Doesn't sounds right for them to do anything they don't get paid for (the $85)

Not sure, but when we did the process for AOS on 2009 my daughter was 7 at that time and I also received the bio letter for her....if I'm not wrong it was just the picture for her green card.

08-20-2016 Oath Ceremony letter received (now 14 yo) (date 08-27-2016)

08-27-2016 OATH TAKEN IN CEREMONY. DAUGHTER GOT CERTIFICATE OF CITIZENSHIP AND END OF THE JOURNEY :joy:

Thank you! I thought they would use the picture we send it with the application?

I guess they have always gotten bio then and I just totally missed it some how :)

And yeah, the passport photos that you send in are not even what they use. They use the digital photo they take at the bio appt., so not sure why you even need to send in passport photos. I assume it is just more paperwork and red tape that the government just seems to love.
